We are expanding our footprint and seeking a driven Business Development to help identify and convert new business opportunities, on a commission-only basis.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a vital role in identifying leads, nurturing prospects, and closing deals that contribute to the company’s growth. You will be responsible for driving new business across public and private sector clients, collaborating closely with the consulting team to develop and pitch tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Source and convert new business opportunities across public, private, and development sectors
Build and manage strong relationships with key decision-makers
Prepare customized proposals and pitch decks in response to client needs
Represent ExperTrait at virtual meetings and online networking events
Stay informed on market trends and competitors to refine sales strategies
Work collaboratively with consultants to align solutions with client goals
Consistently achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets
Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or consulting services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and deliver results without supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience using major CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce)
Comfortable with a performance-based compensation mode
Desirable:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or relevant certification in business, management, or sales
Familiarity with the Nigerian and/or international business environment
Understanding of government parastatal operations and procurement procedures
Background in consulting, B2B service delivery, or project management
Compensation
This is a commission-only role with a fixed 30% commission on each successfully closed deal. The more you close, the more you earn. No income ceiling.
